To help maintain your Fiskars Long Handle Digging Shovel and extend its lifespan: Clean after each use: Remove dirt and debris from the blade and handle. Dry thoroughly: Make sure the shovel is completely dry before storing, especially if the soil was wet or damp. Store indoors or covered: Avoid leaving the shovel exposed to rain or snow. Occasional maintenance: A light coat of oil on the metal parts can help protect against moisture and rust.
